City of Miami Beach Seeking Proposals for a Section 202 Project Sponsor.
The Housing Authority of the City of Miami Beach (HACOMB) has issued a Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) seeking proposals for a Section 202 (Elderly Housing) Project
Sponsor. The HACOMB is seeking non-profit organizations with vast experience in
both the development of affordable housing and the provision of social services;
Section 202 project experience is desired but is not a requirement for selection.
The organizations should have the demonstrated experience needed to develop a Section
202 project as per the guidelines established by US HUD for the Section 202 application
process. The organizations do not have to be based on or have experience of developing
projects or programs on Miami Beach. The Section 202 project would be located at
1231-1251 17th Street in the City of Miami Beach. The selected property is in a
prime location near two major hospitals, a Publix supermarket, public transportation,
government offices, post office, entertainment facilities, etc..
The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be available for distribution on August
20, 2001 at 10:00 AM. A pre-proposal conference will be held on August 30, 2001
at 10:00 AM. Proposals are due on September 14, 2001 at 1:00 PM.
